Join us for our walk & talk program
Get out, get active, and embrace the benefits of walking! Join Burlington Family Health Team Occupational Therapist Tess Ewert Zehr, as she discusses the role of occupational therapy in helping you engage in the activities that matter most, whether it’s starting or maintaining participation in daily tasks as you age. Discover how OTs enhance quality of life by addressing physical, mental, social, and environmental barriers to participation. And then spend the rest of the hour enjoying a healthy walk and lively conversation.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the walk. Meet us in Centennial Hall in the library. We will then move to the outdoor space at the Central Park Rose Garden, just opposite the south entrance, facing New Street.
Walking is a wonderful form of physical activity and we encourage all levels of walking ability to participate in this event—whether you complete the entire walk or join us for part of the journey! Walking devices, mobility aids, and walking companions are welcome. All participants must sign a waiver, which is provided at the start of the walk.
