Join us for our new walk & talk program
New year, new you! Now is a great time to make your mental well-being a top priority. First, Burlington Family Health Team physiotherapist Anne Svetik-Jones talks the benefits of exercise to help enhance cognitive function, memory, and overall brain health. Then spend the rest of the hour enjoying a healthy walk together.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the walk. Meet us in Centennial Hall in the library. We will then move to the outdoor space at the Central Park Rose Garden, just opposite the south entrance, facing New Street.
Walking is a wonderful form of physical activity and we encourage all levels of walking ability to participate in this event—whether you complete the entire walk or join us for part of the journey. Walking devices, mobility aids, and walking companions are welcome. All participants must sign a waiver, which will be provided at the start of the walk.
Presented in partnership with the Burlington Family Health Team and Just Walk
