Identify & draw forest animals and their tracks
Book illustrator Jennifer Faria talks about her background and experience as an Indigenous artist and reads from her picture books, Raven, Rabbit, Deer and Finding Moose. After the reading, learn how to identify and draw the various forest animals and their tracks featured in both books.
This program is geared to kids ages 6-12. Younger children may attend with a caregiver—please only register the child(ren) attending.
A member of the Indigenous Arts Collective of Canada, fine artist Jennifer Faria illustrated Raven, Rabbit, Deer, and First Nations Communities Read Award-nominated Finding Moose. Faria participated in the Native Women’s Association of Canada’s Change the Bill, a touring exhibition by Indigenous women artists promoting inspirational Indigenous women as potential new faces of the Canadian $20 bill.
