Join us for our walk & talk program
Did you know? Since 2028, an estimated 5.2 million Canadians ages 19 to 70 were caregivers to a family member or friend with a chronic health condition, disability, or aging needs.
In this session, Burlington Family Health Team system navigator, Maria DiDanieli, talks about where to find caregiver resources in the community and shares tips for taking care of yourself as a caregiver. Then spend the rest of the hour enjoying a healthy walk and fun conversation. It’s a great way to get out, get active, and enjoy all the benefits that come from walking.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the walk. Meet us in Centennial Hall in the library. We will then move to the outdoor space at the Central Park Rose Garden, just opposite the south entrance, facing New Street.
Walking is a wonderful form of physical activity and we encourage all levels of walking ability to participate in this event - whether you complete the entire walk or join us for part of the journey! Walking devices, mobility aids, and walking companions are welcome. All participants must sign a waiver, which will be provided at the start of the walk.
Presented in partnership with the Burlington Family Health Team and Just Walk
