Meet two rising stars on Canada's literary stage—Nicki Pau Preto & Joanna Hathaway
Come for an enthralling evening of fantasy with Nicki Pau Preto, author of the critically acclaimed Crown of Feathers trilogy, in conversation with Joanna Hathaway, author of the action-packed Glass Alliance historical fantasy series. The two best-selling authors discuss writing YA fantasy, world-building, and their writing processes. A not-to-be-missed event for fantasy fans of all ages.
Nicki Pau Preto is a fantasy author living just outside of Toronto—though her dislike of hockey, snow, and geese makes her the worst Canadian in the country. She studied art and art history at university and worked as a graphic designer before becoming a writer full-time. She is the author of the Crown of Feathers trilogy, Bonesmith, and her forthcoming middle-grade debut, The Last Hope School for Magical Delinquents.

Joanna Hathaway was born in Montréal and is an avid storyteller who was inspired to write after reading her great-grandfather’s memoirs of the First World War. A lifelong history buff, she has shelves filled with biographies, historical accounts, and perhaps one too many books about pilots. She currently lives in Canada and can often be found reading, travelling, or riding horses. Her Glass Alliance trilogy is a World Wars-infused fantasy series of forbidden love and deadly revenge.
