Author of The Good Allies
BPL is excited to welcome back Tim Cook, our country's top war historian and bestselling author, discussing his latest book, The Good Allies, a gripping account of the turbulent relationship between Canada and the U.S. during WWII.
Cook examines how two wary rival nations entered the war and learned to fight together before emerging triumphant and bound by a steadfast alliance that has lasted to this day. In exploring this complex and crucial dimension of the Second World War and its legacy, Cook recounts two nations’ story of cooperation, of sacrifice, and of bleeding together to save the world from the fascist threat.
A Different Drummer Books will be on site with books for sale and signing after the talk.
