A Journey into Lyrics, Hip-Hop & Performance
LTtheMonk, known for his unique beats and lyrical wordplay, talks about his songwriting process and how he packs multiple meanings into his lyrics and combines them with lively instrumentals. In his music, LT incorporates a variety of styles, including hip-hop, electronic synth, jazz, Rhythm & Blues, and classical, to create a unique and exhilarating sound. You'll hear a live performance and have an opportunity to ask questions.
Originally from London, UK, LTtheMonk first fell in love with hip-hop at eight years old, when the music ignited a lifelong passion. Blended with constant exposure to reggae (from his Jamaican mother) and rock (from his Irish father), his discovery of Michael Jackson's music and dance moves and the emerging hip-hop scene set LT off on a journey to becoming a musician himself. LT has since carved a reputation as a vibrant and compelling talent, moving to Canada in 2017, where he has furthered his career in Hamilton and Toronto. LT fuses dance music with hip-hop and pop to create his own unique sound, which you can hear in songs such as 'Class of' 23' and 'The Lo.'
