Learn how music, which sets the emotional tone through melody and rhythm, is supported by lyrics that convey plot, emotions, and overall operatic themes. Sabatino discusses how this mutually supporting interplay of lyrics with music isn’t something unique to opera; it can be seen in music throughout history including today's popular music.
