Centennial HallWith local author Lesley Megarry
Local author Lesley Megarry delivers a heartfelt and inspiring talk about the deeply personal book she wrote in honour of her developmentally disabled brother. Through stories, memories, and reflections, Lesley shares Johnny’s life, the profound impact he had on her, and the lessons he taught about love, resilience, acceptance, and human connection.
Lesley talks about her writing process, including the challenges and rewards of turning family experiences into a powerful narrative, and what motivated her to tell Johnny’s story. Whether you are interested in memoir, family stories, disability awareness, or the self-publishing process, this event offers an opportunity to connect with Lesley's journey in life and in publishing.
