BPL is hosting information sessions for Burlington residents interested in serving on the Library Board and helping shape the future of public library service in our community.
If you’re passionate about your community and believe in the value of public libraries, this is an opportunity to learn how you can make a difference. Find out about the role and responsibilities of Library Board members, governance expectations, time commitments, and the important work of Burlington Public Library.
Established under Ontario’s Public Libraries Act, the Burlington Public Library Board provides governance and strategic oversight to help ensure strong, effective library service and support the Library’s long-term success.
This is an in-person session at Central Branch, and registration is required. Virtual (online) sessions are also open for registration below:
Applications to join the Board for the 2027–2030 municipal term will open later this fall.
