It’s Halloween Month at BPL, and Vikki VanSickle joins us to talk about her latest book, The Mystic and the Missing Girl, featuring a reluctant psychic drawn into a cold case that could expose small-town secrets. An extreme bookworm herself, Vikki takes us behind the scenes of her writing process, shares where her ideas come from, and talks about making a living writing, reading, and talking about books.

Vikki VanSickle is the author of several acclaimed novels for children. The Mystic and the Missing Girl is her first novel for adults. She started her career as an independent bookseller and has worked as a creative writing instructor and as a children's publishing professional for twelve years. In addition to writing, she curates and hosts regular book segments for CTV Your Morning. She lives and writes in Toronto.
