Toronto Star tech columnist Navneet Alang has seen it all when it comes to writing on the web. From blogs to Tumblr, RSS to Redditt, Twitter to Tiktok, and micro-writing to Wattpad, Alang has witnessed tech come and go and come back in a different form.
With an eye to the future, Alang tackles questions like: Is Artificial Intelligence, like ChatGPT, the final tech for writing? Will it be the end of real writing done by real authors? And ultimately, are we headed towards a literary dystopia where the web is clogged with an endless stream of junk writing? Maybe the future of online writing lies somewhere in between. Let's talk about it! Come with your questions and see real human beings discuss the use and future of AI and authorship.
