Author of Off the Tracks
Off the Tracks is a creative nonfiction exploration that weaves together Mulloy’s own cross-continental journeys—from the Maritimes to Europe—with vivid historical vignettes of famous travelers like Charles Dickens and Sarah Bernhardt. It includes historical anecdotes such as early travelers feared traveling at high speed might cause internal organs to be expelled. Thoughtful, observant, and fun, Off the Tracks is part social history of trains, travel memoir, and a broader meditation on the meaning, importance and symbolism of travel. A blend of research and personal experience that, like a good train ride, will whisk you into another world.
A Different Drummer Books will be on site with books for sale and signing after the talk.
