In this session geared to homeowners and renters of all ages, learn what you can do to keep you and your home safe. Topics covered include:

• What alarms are needed by law based on the age of your home
• How to troubleshoot common smoke alarm issues like a beeping alarm
• What to look for when buying new alarms and how to properly install alarms and batteries
• How the fire department can help older adult homeowners who need help with testing and maintaining home smoke and CO alarms
• How to prevent the most common causes of home fires
