Here's what we're reading this month Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid
Blogger/role model/inspirational speaker Alix Chamberlain is dealing with a personal crisis at home and persuades Emira Tucker, her 25-year old black babysitter to leave the party she is attending that night, to look after her toddler. Emira takes Blair to an upscale grocery store where a security guard accuses her of kidnapping the white toddler. A bystander films the incident. A story that deals with complex themes of the pressures and ironies inherent in social media, privilege, modern parenting, racial tension, and political correctness.
