Dionne Samuels aka “Dionne The Bird Of Paradise” utilizes her art and platform to spread the word of Black unity and education to strengthen the ties within the Black community. She has recited poetry in Toronto for over twenty years and was the winner of a Toronto Poetry Slam Finale in 2015. Dionne recently published In the Span of a Sunrise and is currently working on an audio version of poems set to be released in March 2023.
