Join us for our new walk & talk program
Get out, get active, and enjoy all the benefits that come from walking! This session is led by Burlington Family Health Team physiotherapist, Anne Svetik-Jones.
Learn about the difference between physical activity and exercise and how much weekly physical activity is recommended by the Canadian Physical Activity Guidelines. Pick up resources to start planning new and exciting ways to keep active. And then spend the rest of the hour enjoying a healthy walk and lively conversation.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the walk. Meet us in Centennial Hall in the library. We will then move to the outdoor space at the Central Park Rose Garden, just opposite the south entrance, facing New Street.
Walking is a wonderful form of physical activity and we encourage all levels of walking ability to participate in this event—whether you complete the entire walk or join us for part of the journey! Walking devices, mobility aids, and walking companions are welcome. All participants must sign a waiver, which is provided at the start of the walk.
Presented in partnership with the Burlington Family Health Team and Just Walk
