Join us for our walk & talk health program
Get out, get active, and enjoy all the benefits that come from walking! Do you have longstanding aches and pains? Have you noticed that your mood and mental health change when your pain changes? A physiotherapist from Burlington Family Health Team talks about the various effects of pain and shares tips and strategies to balance your mind and body through exercise. And then, spend the rest of the hour enjoying a healthy walk and lively conversation.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the walk. Meet us near the Fireplace area at the Tansley Woods Branch. We will then move to the outdoor space at Tansley Woods, facing the grassy field just in front of the library parking lot (just south of Upper Middle)
Walking is a wonderful form of physical activity and we encourage all levels of walking ability to participate in this event—whether you complete the entire walk or join us for part of the journey! Walking devices, mobility aids, and walking companions are welcome. All participants must sign a waiver, which is provided at the start of the walk.
Presented in partnership with the Burlington Family Health Team and Just Walk
