FireplaceGet tips on how to stay active, then walk with us!
Get out, get active, and enjoy all the benefits of walking! Physiotherapist Jessica Lammers explores how lack of motivation, fatigue, and time constraints can become barriers to regular physical activity. Learn simple, practical strategies to overcome these common obstacles and build lasting habits for staying active. After the talk, spend the rest of the hour enjoying a healthy walk and lively conversation.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the walk. Meet us near the Fireplace at the New Appleby branch. We will then move to the outdoor space at the Robert Bateman Community Centre, facing the grassy field at the building's north entrance.
Walking is a wonderful form of physical activity, and we encourage people of all walking abilities to participate in this event—whether you complete the entire walk or join us for part of the journey. Walking devices, mobility aids, and walking companions are welcome. All participants must sign a waiver provided at the start of the walk.
