Radio Voice of the Raptors discusses We The Raptors
We the Raptors: Thirty Players, Thirty Stories, Thirty Years marks the 30th anniversary of the Toronto Raptors and celebrates the stories that built Canada’s team. Longtime Raptors radio voice Eric Smith shines a light on the overlooked, the hardworking, the cult favourites, and the quietly inspirational players who made their mark on the franchise and city. They take readers into the locker rooms, onto the hardwood, and deep into the lives of thirty players who embody what it means to wear a Raptors jersey.
Smith discusses the genesis of the book, including his collaboration with writer Andrew Bricker, and revisits the stories in We the Raptors that capture the hustle, heart, and spirit that helped shape a once-dismissed expansion team into one of the most beloved and successful franchises in the NBA.
A Different Drummer Books will be on site with books for sale and signing after the talk.
