Unfit Parent reveals societal norms and assumptions about ability, worth, and what it truly means to be a "fit" parent.
Jessica Slice is a disabled author, speaker, and essayist. Her book, Unfit Parent: A Disabled Mother Challenges an Inaccessible World has been shortlisted for the J. Anthony Lukas Prize. This Toronto-based writer is the co-author of Dateable, This is How We Play, and This is How We Talk. Her work has been widely published in North American magazines, journals, newspapers, and online.
