With spoken word artist & author Lisa Shen
A landmark moment for a poet is to see their poems in a published format. Spoken word artist and author Lisa Shen performs pieces from her recently published book of poetry, A Story Ending in Redwoods, and outlines the process of creating a chapbook—a small, published collection of poems.
Using A Story Ending in Redwoods as an example, Shen talks about the process of choosing, sequencing, and arranging poems into a chapbook to provide a mesmerizing and satisfying experience for the reader.
