Author of Caught Between Two Devils
LIVE via ZOOM followed by a Q&A
Local author Mark Creedon discusses his historical novel "Caught Between Two Devils," based on the real-life experiences of Antanas Paskevicius, his wife Jadwyga, and his sister Maria—Mark's in-laws and his wife's paternal aunt. In April 1944, their lives were forever altered when they were sent to a work camp in northeast Germany, where they struggled for ten months. Despite the risk of betrayal, torture, and death, they stole a Wehrmacht truck in February 1945 and, along with other prisoners, fled and headed for Bavaria.
Before retiring in 2013, Mark Creedon worked with Child Welfare and Family Services agencies. He spent his last twenty years as the Executive Director of Catholic Family Services Peel Dufferin. This book is Mark's first novel.
